What type of Witch are You?

I wanted to share with everyone about my witchcraft path. There are many types of witches so I wanted to spend a few minutes letting everybody know what type of witch I am.

I combine different types of witches to become the type of witch I am. So…I am Angelic witch, Shamanic Witch, Weather Witch, Lunar Witch, Blood Witch, and Eclectic Witch.

Angelic Witch: I connect to the universal vibration replacing the traditional god and goddess used in rituals and spell casting with angels.

Shamanic Witch: I am a rescue medium so I do believe in good and bad spirits. I use healing as apart of my witchcraft.

Weather Witch: I use rainwater in my rituals and I pull on the energy of storms and lightning and I am devoted to all kinds of nature and elements.

Lunar Witch: I honor the moon and uses the moon phases to influence my spells and rituals.

Blood Witch: This just means I was taught by family the way of the Craft.

Eclectic Witch: This just means I follow my own path, no set of rules I follow and I pull from many of paths.

So, I hope that explains what type of witch I am….

What type of Witch are you?

Spell-casting and Ethics

When it comes to spell casting there are a number of things we as Enchanted Witches should think about before we cast a spell. Sometimes we all face decisions and wonder what would happen if we used a little bit of spell casting to make things turn our a little better. Well this is where ethics come into the picture. So, what do you consider morally right and wrong.

Therefore, remember when do spells you come from a place that shows your ethics. DO NOT GO AGAINST ANYBODY’S FREE WILL.

This coven will not allow anybody to write spells for others nor do we allow any member to do spells for anybody that goes against free will with everyone that is involved.

Remember, free will and know that when you keep spell casting in the light, you will always shine.

Book of Shadows versus Grimoire

Being a witch we all have our book of shadows. Question: Is a Book of Shadows (BOS) the same as a Grimoire? To me, they are different.

Book of Shadows

Most witches I know keep a BOS but most witches do not keep a Grimoire. A Book of Shadows is a personal book of magic that most witches keep. Its like an enchanted book of magic. The book of shadows is where you would post all rituals, spells, just about everything that you would do as a witch. A BOS is a witch’s personal book of magic; a diary of magic if you will. It’s always a good idea to keep down everything you do in your book of shadows so you can build upon what you have already done.

Now lets discuss a Grimoire and its very similar to a BOS. The only difference really is that its not on such a personal level. It can hold rituals, potions, and even spells. Its a good place to store information about herbs, crystals, etc. I would consider this like a place I would put enchanted research not any personal records of any enchanted workings that you have done.

Most witches usually only have a book of shadows but I keep both due to the fact there are some things that I want to keep private.

So just remember that Books of Shadows contains personal information that you may not want to share. To me my book of shadows is very sacred and I put it in a very special place so I can keep it protected. I bless it everyday. The Grimoire is something that is less personal and could be shared with others.

Just remember its up to you whether you keep a BOS or Grimoire. I do both that way I dont have to worry about others seeing my private stuff.

I hope this helps clear up the difference.

Moon Phases

There are 8 moon phases and I feel that every witch needs to know them and to know what they look like in the sky.

8 Moon Phases:

New Moon

Waxing Crescent

First Quarter

Waxing Gibbous

Full Moon

Waning Gibbous

Third Quarter

Waning Crescent

The Moon changes every night. Have you ever looked up into the sky and took noticed to how full the moon is but wondered about what type of moon it is when the moon was barely showing well here I hope to teach about these enchanted objects in the sky.

New Moon: In the New Moon Phase you will not be able to see the moon at all.

Waxing Crescent Moon: In the Northern Hemisphere the Waxing Crescent the light will cover starting on the right side of the moon.

First Quarter: This is the half moon.

Waxing Gibbous: This is where the moon is between half moon and full moon phase, the moon is getting bigger.

Full Moon: This phase the moon is completely illuminated.

Waning Gibbous: Its between a half moon and full moon, its also getting smaller.

Third Quarter: We see this moon as a half moon, but it’s the opposite side thats illuminated as in the first quarter.

Waning Crescent: In the Northern Hemisphere, thin crescent light on the left.

The Moon displays these 8 phases, one after the other, each month.

The moon’s cycle is 27 days long so it takes 27 days to orbit the Earth.
