What type of Witch are You?

I wanted to share with everyone about my witchcraft path. There are many types of witches so I wanted to spend a few minutes letting everybody know what type of witch I am.

I combine different types of witches to become the type of witch I am. So…I am Angelic witch, Shamanic Witch, Weather Witch, Lunar Witch, Blood Witch, and Eclectic Witch.

Angelic Witch: I connect to the universal vibration replacing the traditional god and goddess used in rituals and spell casting with angels.

Shamanic Witch: I am a rescue medium so I do believe in good and bad spirits. I use healing as apart of my witchcraft.

Weather Witch: I use rainwater in my rituals and I pull on the energy of storms and lightning and I am devoted to all kinds of nature and elements.

Lunar Witch: I honor the moon and uses the moon phases to influence my spells and rituals.

Blood Witch: This just means I was taught by family the way of the Craft.

Eclectic Witch: This just means I follow my own path, no set of rules I follow and I pull from many of paths.

So, I hope that explains what type of witch I am….

What type of Witch are you?

Moon Phases

There are 8 moon phases and I feel that every witch needs to know them and to know what they look like in the sky.

8 Moon Phases:

New Moon

Waxing Crescent

First Quarter

Waxing Gibbous

Full Moon

Waning Gibbous

Third Quarter

Waning Crescent

The Moon changes every night. Have you ever looked up into the sky and took noticed to how full the moon is but wondered about what type of moon it is when the moon was barely showing well here I hope to teach about these enchanted objects in the sky.

New Moon: In the New Moon Phase you will not be able to see the moon at all.

Waxing Crescent Moon: In the Northern Hemisphere the Waxing Crescent the light will cover starting on the right side of the moon.

First Quarter: This is the half moon.

Waxing Gibbous: This is where the moon is between half moon and full moon phase, the moon is getting bigger.

Full Moon: This phase the moon is completely illuminated.

Waning Gibbous: Its between a half moon and full moon, its also getting smaller.

Third Quarter: We see this moon as a half moon, but it’s the opposite side thats illuminated as in the first quarter.

Waning Crescent: In the Northern Hemisphere, thin crescent light on the left.

The Moon displays these 8 phases, one after the other, each month.

The moon’s cycle is 27 days long so it takes 27 days to orbit the Earth.

Blessed Be,

High Priestess Raven

A Thought for Today

As I was taking a walk I saw two different rabbits and a mom and dad Robin Red Breast. My first thought is the spirit meanings that go with these animals and birds. Seeing a rabbit is a good sign for fertility especially if you are wanting to conceive. Seeing Robins are a sign of new beginnings and new life as in the Midwestern United States they are usually the first birds that come out as soon as spring begins.

Being 61 years old and all my children are grown and all but one has blessed me with a grandchild I am certainly not interested in having another child. So I spent sometime wondering why I had seen signs for fertility and we beginnings/new life. I also asked my Spirit Guides why I saw them. It was after asking for help in understanding that I began to understand why this happened.

Fertility can mean you are ready to be implanted with new ideas that as they grow they will bring growth of yourself usually spirituality and/or as a person in general. With this thought in mind I understood why I saw the 2 rabbits within seconds of each other and in a few steps the Robins.

I have come to a point in this lifetime of change and growth that will in some way effect every aspect of my life and the roles I have as a person, wife, mother, grandmother, and High Priestess.

The main reason for me sharing this is to remind you if you see wildlife, insects you usually don’t see, or even a reoccurring shape in the clouds paid attention to them because most of the time it is the Universe, a Goddess a God bring you a message you need to have.

There are a few different websites that will tell the spiritual meaning of an animal, bird, insects, fish, and reptiles. Witches of The Craft is one such website. Use the SEARCH box on the home page to find what you are looking for. I recommend checking more than one website definition as just like in everything every person express things they way they chose to perceive them.

If you want some help in figuring out what you keep seeing means you can make an appointment with me for a consultation. There is a small fee I charge when helping people read signs that are sent to them for whatever the reason is.

Blessed be dear brothers and sisters.

There once was a Willow, and he was very old,

And all his leaves fell off from him, and left him in the cold;

But ere the rude winter could buffet him with snow,

There grew upon his hoary head a crop of mistletoe.

All wrinkled and furrowed was this old Willow’s skin,

His taper finger trembled, and his arms were very thin;

Two round eyes and hollow, that stared but did not see;

And sprawling feet that never walked, had this most ancient tree.

Reiki and Spells

The Cosmic Cookie Trail led me to the following post about using Reiki with spells.  Here is an excerpt from the article:

Article by Rinku Patel

“Reiki and Spells – two powerful and different ways to heal, manifest and send your prayers to Universe. There are many people who loves to do spells and rituals (not black magic please). The spells that are done for good and harms none. How about merging spells and Reiki energy and see what the outcome is? As we all know, Reiki works for the highest good and hence no chance of going wrong anywhere……”
